Afternoon

Would someone please be kind enough to explain the difference between spyware, adware and also what tracking cookies are.

Thanks

Once again thank you very much.
Does this mean that it is advisable to delete such cookies. I usually do a scan and invariably it highlights such cookies. I normally delete them but is there any way I can stop them being downloaded in the first place?

I wouldn't bother too much about cookies, some in fact are essential, even if only temporary. In normal everyday use I have never had any problems caused by cookies. I don't even think about cookies, unless a program specifically asks for certain cookies in order for it to work.

When I run Ad-Aware SE Personal for instance, it always finds some cookies, I just let the program delete them.
