Could someone tell me the difference between a business edition and a student and teachers editions of microsoft software ?. If I bought a business edition would it be alright for using for academic level ?

Define "academic level".

To a certain extent buteman is correct in his response, in that the Student and Teacher edition is usually cheaper than a Business edition.

However, to 'legally' use a Student and Teacher edition, that's what you have to be - a student or a teacher or otherwise involved in education.
