An Old friend who has windows XP Pro has a problem with the dialog box "spelling check is complete." when he opens WORKS, WORD or OUTLOOK EXPRESS, it opens on its own, but it wont close at all without shutting down windows, he can run other programs ok with no problems.
Thanks Les

In the absense of anything more sensible, try the system file checker

sfc /scannow

Also as they are MS programs, see if a reinstall will help.

1) space before the /

2) only works on XP. For earlier Windows just use SFC

3) I doubt if it will solve the problem but worth a go.
