Device Manager

People are often advised to - look In Device Manager, check the modem Power Management is not set to 'allow the computer to turn off this device'. However when I look into my device manager my Broad Band Modem is not shown although obviously I am connected to the net with it. Any reason why it does not show up.

The only one listed is - PC1 Soft V92 Speaker phone modem on COM 3

Thanks in advance

My Sagem BB modem is shown under Network Adapters as a USB ADSL WAN Adapter

Mine shows under `SpeedTouch USB Modem` as a separate item near the bottom of the alphabetical list. Only my internal (unused) modem card shows under `Modems`.

Have you checked for the `name` of your BB modem?

Sorry, it also shows under `Network Adapters` as `SpeedTouch USB ADSL PPP`.

Thanks I have located it, as you said under network adapters.
