hi all,

windows 7 pro has just decided to say "this device can perform faster if you connec to a USB 2.0 port" on the port my D-Link USB wifi dongle is in.

My PC is a dell dimension which has 6 USB ports and all USB 2.0 to my knowledge!!

This has never happened before so why would it just happen now?

I can connect to my wifi network for a couple of seconds then the network connection cuts off and this just keeps repeats!

Any suggestions please?

cheers

check in device manager to see if you have any exclamation marks against any USB drivers.

right click, check properties if you have and report the error code here. or try and reinstall the driver.

no there is no error in device manager, no exclamation marks either!

also a balloon pops up saying the device drivers were not installed correctly!

like i say this didnt happen last week!
