A device attached to the system is not functioning

Win 95, P166, 64M, Ess1868 Sound, ATI 3D Expression + PC2TV, 280M free disk space

Error Messages:
c:\program files\dkmm\body2.exe
A device attached to the system is not functioning

The body2.exe file is
linked to missing export kernel32.dll:GetFreeDiskSpaceExA.

Trying to install Dorling Kindersley's "Ultimate Human Body" (kid's anatomy not Pamela whatserface)
and getting the above two messages when I try to start it.

This microsoft knowledge mbase link click here advised remove the program, clean boot Windows,
and then reinstall the program. I did this and got the same result.

Their further advice says dowload libraries update but the links for Win 95 don't pan out.

I'd appreciate any advice.
