Desktop shortcut to website?

Is there any way I can create a shortcut on the desktop that will take me direct to a web site (assuming that I'm already connected to the internet). Ideally, it should open the default browser IE7 if it is not already opened.
Sort of like the forum's "click here" but on the desktop.
I know I can go through favourites but it would be nice to be able to do it quicker for a few frequently accessed sites.

Try this,Open the website using IE, then drag the icon from the address bar onto your desktop

I use one of these click here, you get a single key to carry out all sorts of functions (54 of them).

Or click on the website address in the address bar and copy it then paste it on to your Desktop. That is what I did with PCA.

Easy enough to do just right click on your desktop create a shortcut then when it asks for a path insert the web address, then click ok.

Takes seconds to do.
