XP SP2

Yesterday I removed some Spyware from a friend's PC. I also installed the "Clear Type" tuning app. Now however, the text underneath the desktop icons has a colour background. It's white and I can change it in Properties>Desktop. however I can't get rid of it and it wasn't there before.

Anbody know where the setting is that controls this?

Thanks

You will most likely need to do this too.

control panel, display, destop tab, then selcting 'customize desktop'. Click on the webs tab and make sure none are selcted.

@ brundle,Mac70 Thanks for your replies.

After posting here, I was sucessful in my Googling and came up with similar sugestions, both of which I have used and the problem is now solved.

Thanks

PS I often have to go through the forum posting step before I come up with a suitable search string for Google.
