Desktop changed size for no reason

On my Vista laptop, the desktop has changed size for no readily apparent reason.

I've tried everything I can think of to get it back to normal all to no avail..

I attach a picture to illustrate what I mean..

Look in Device manager, uninstall the display adapter driver and reboot.

I'll give that a shot

Not knowing what you may or may not have pressed by mistake. The following might be the quickest answer...
Try 'System Restore' to back before it changed shape.

It looks ok to me. The two black lines either side is sometimes ususl with PC Advisor site. In Firefox change the zoom level of the beowser.

Sorted now.

Disabled display adaptor driver, restarted, then enabled it and restarted again.

Glad that you are sorted, thanks for the feedback
Tick Resolved?

Very Sorry, you have ticked!

  DANZIG 08:28 26 May 10

I know I ticked this as resolved, but the same issue has occurred.

I've done what I did previously, but that hasn't solved it this time.

Rawprawn - if I actually 'uninstall' this display adaptor driver - how do I go on about re-installing it, as I'm assuming that I won't be able to see anything??

When you restart, windows will see the hardware and install its own driver. You may need to go to manufacturers website later to download the latest version.
