DEP in windows and how to disable it

Hello,

This DEP ( Data Execution Prevention ) " Feature " is causeing alot of problems when trying to open a folder with pics in it and usually mp3 / mpg media init and when i open a folder with files like this init windows explorer crashes and i want to know if their is a way to disable this because its driving me up the wall and on christmas day i will have my laptop on a projector showing everyone the pics and videos of christmas and i dont want windows to crach everytime i open a folder so can anyone please help me to disable this annoying " Feature " or windows xp
