dell rambus memory help needed

i have a dell dimension 8200 and want to buy more memory. i currently only have 256meg 4 x 64 meg.
i tried crucial but they dont supply rambus memory ( dell supply it but price seems a bit steep - £231.25) any suggestions please

sorry i should have said price seemed a bit steep for kingston ktd-dm800/512ram ( supplied by dell)

Thanks for your help. I will have to decide whether to upgrade or buy a new comp now i suppose .

It would have been better if dell had put 2 128 pieces and 2 blanks in your computer. If you upgade you will have to discard 2 pieces. I have rd ram and payed £150 for a matched pair of 128. They came in a boxed kit. I now have a total of 384 this has speeded up the computer.

thanks citadel - but can i mix 64meg and 256meg if they are paired i.e. 2X64 and 2X 256 ?

yes, I would put the 2x 256 in slots 0 and 1 and 2x64 in slots 3 and 4. 0 and 1 are the ones nearest the processor.
