Dell "no boot device available"

I am a novice where technical pc matters are concerned but here goes. I have a Dell Inspiron 570, AMD Athlon 630 processor running wondows7. I get the no boot device available on start up. Tells me to press F1 but that does nothing. So turn off and restart pressing F2 which takes me too Bios Setup Utility. I then press Esc and enter and windoes starts. I have looked for advice on internet and did a diagnostic check which took hours but found nothing and also went to Dell help and did diagnostic check, but no problems found. I I have also done a system restore. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Make sure your hard drive is set as the first boot device in bios.
