hi,
i use a wireless network to access the internet at home. Now ever since i got the network to work on my new dell notebook.
Every time i log on to the computer i get a window that says
"Dell network assistance"
and then it scans the network only just to see if it works etc and if it doesnt it comes up with ideas on how to repair it.

Now this has started to become an annoyance.

Can someone please tell me. if i was to disable it in msconfig. would i still be able to go onto the internet and does it not interfear with the wireless network card

Thanks

Ben

I seem to recall that there is a check box in the window saying something like do not ask me again.

As far as I understand it will be OK to stop it starting and you should be OK.

Yes,I've just had the Dell Support window pop up and there is the opportunity to say do not show this message again.
