I went into Control Panel and then Appearance and Personalize and changed the Screen Resolution - Big mistake!
The Screen Resolution I chose is so big that I cannot change it to the optimal size for my computer because it has taken over the whole page on the Screen Resolution Window. I cannot see the size or click on the apply or ok button because I cannot see them but they are obviously lower down the window but hidden by two thirds of the window.
I need to get the window back to normal.
Hope someone can help.

If you right click on the desktop screen and properties (if xp),you should be able to change from there.

If Vista

Right click the desktop and select Display settings

XP or Vista ?

While the PC is booting up tap tap tap tap (about once a second) on the F8 key will bring up a black screen with a list of option use the up down arrow keys to highlight the option that has "VGA" as part of the title then hit enter this will force the display to 640 x 800 screen resolution after it reboots from this setting you will be able to to get to the resolution screen to change it to the optimal default setting

Cheers HC

My thanks to those who have tried to help.

I can access the page in Control Panel

where I can change the Screen Resolution

(which is my mistake) and the curser can

move the 'slider' which changes the Screen

Resolution but, because the Screen

Resolution I chose is so large I cannot

access the OK and/or Apply button which is at

at the bottom of the page.

Have you tried hitting Enter?

I think you'll find that the OK button is active by default, so hitting Enter should have the same effect.

Or try safe mode and last good configuration.
