Dell Inspiron Freezing, Hard Drive Error 0146

Anyone any ideas what i can do about my daughters Laptop. I have run a Diagnostics check and it comes up Error Code and Error Code 2000-0146. Also says Hard Drive 0 - Self test log contains previous errors.

It basically keeps freezing up after it logs into Windows running Vista and you can do nothing but power it down. Do i take it the Hard Drive is finished or any ideas that can solve this problem.

Would even a Factory Image Restore do the trick or not?

Any help is much appreciated as now spent two night on this and getting nowhere.

Yes, error code does indicate a possible hard drive failure - I hope you have anything important backed up!

I guess you need a replacement hard drive.
