Dell Inspiron 1150 Upgrade/Wireless Possibilities?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1150 and am trying to find out if I can upgrade the memory and speed. I'm also trying to find out what adaptor/card I can get to make it access wireless internet. I have a D-Link Router and USB DWA-111 adaptor but the adaptor is not recognised as being attached to the computer (the router is being used by my housemates so it definitely works). I only have Windows XP SP1 as running SP2 slows it down so far as to be unuseable. My laptop is years out of its warranty so I can't get any help from Dell. Thanks.

Did you load the drivers for the adapter? You could uninstall the USB ports from Device Manager, reboot and let Windows re-detect them, that has worked a few times for me.

As for upgrading memory, it seems that it can be upgraded to hold 2GB. click here
