Dell front connections

I have a dell dimension 2400, p4 3.06 cpu.

I have replaced the motherboard with an msi 865gm3 series.

Haveing a problem with the front panel connections, as the cables are not marked on the dell, and their colour coding leaves a lot to be desired, has anyone been in a similar position, if so how did you wire the front, i.e. start switch/ide light ect.

I am not bothered with the front sound cables, the front usb is working fine, its just that having to keep starting the puter with a screwdriver is annoying.

Start switch - doesn't matter which way round the cables go.

led - will only work one way but will not break if wrong -just swap over

Fruit Bat /\0/\,

Dell service manuals are a waste of time, they apparently, do not give out the wiring diagrams, ended up removing the front facia, then the start switch block and followed the wires through, then rewiring the block to the correct pins on the new motherboard.

all sorted now with my daughter's eyesight. lol
