Dell decision!

Just trying to figure out whether I should go for the Dimension C521 or E521?

Both come with 320GB hard drive and 1GB of memory, DVD R/RW, same software... in fact, the only real difference is that the C521 has an AMD A64 3500 (2.20GHz, 512kb) processor, the E521 has an AMD A64 3200 (2.00GHz, 512kb) processor.

Also, the C521 says "memory dual channel 1GB 2x512mb) 533Mhz DDR2", whilst the E521 says "memory dual channel 1GB 2x512mb) 667Mhz DDR2"

I will be using the machine mainly for work, including MS Office applications (inc. outlook and internet), plus itunes, Adobe Acrobat Professional and some accounting software (Quickbooks Pro).

The E521 is coming out around £50 cheaper, is it worth the saving or shall I just go for the C521?

Forgot to mention, the C521 case is also a more compact design.

Thanks in advance ;-)

Between the two, there is not a lot of difference and should perform the tasks with no problem.

What i would say and have advised in the past (from experience) is do NOT buy online,do your research for any little extras you may be able to get...such as faster dvd rw/maybe more ram/better graphics can haggle with Dell, but phone them first and see what they say and offer.

On a fairly recent purchase i saved around £60 and after advising someone recently ..they saved around £100

Ive been impressed with Dell and hope you are also.

Good luck.

Thank for the advice - I have also done everything by phone and so far have got them down to £360 inc. VAT and delivery for the E521 (no monitor though, I already have one).
