Dell backup media

My 15 month old Dell inspiron 6000 lappy hard drive died last weekend. A quick look on Dell & found replacement 80 G drive £155! Poped down to local PC world and picked up 120 G Samsung for £55.
My laptop came with no media disks and asked me to place a blank cd to make a recovery disk.
I foolishly thought it was an image which if required, would restore the laptop to when I received it!
It just reinstalled windows with no burning software, utilities etc.
I rang Dell asking where on their website I could download the various software missing. They said we will send you all the disks. "What free" I asked.
Yes, was the answer. Two days later a pack of 6 DVDs with all missing software arrived.
Well done to Dell for sending me the disks so promptly & with no hassle.
They did ask why I didn't but the replacement hard drive from them! ;-) LOL
