Dell Axim synchronize

I am trying to synchronize a Dell Axim X51v with my computer which has Windows XP.
All is connected and it starts to synchronize but then comes up with:
Active Sync encountered a problem on the desktop
Support Code: 85010014

Can anyone help me resolve this?

which version of active sync are you using?

if you look at my link most of the problems resulting in the error you get are fixed by installing Activesync 4.5

You are not alone!

I have two Axims and have never managed to synch either of them on any of five computers, either with USB or Bluetooth links.
