I have had my Dell Inspiron for a few months now and see on the Dell support centre a "Dell pc checkup " facility . Is it worth running this scan every so often and if so will it effect any settings .I have limited pc knowledge and do not want to upset anything but like to keep system up to scratch .Any Dell users familar with this or is it only used when a fault occurs ? Is it best left alone ? Thanks for any help given .

I would suggest for use only when you have a problem - it is a diagnostic facility

It does no harm to run it, it just checks to see if there's are problems. As I've had no problems with my Inspiron yet, I'm not sure how it performs if it encounters an error. For a more comprehensive test and suggestions, try PCPitstop. click here But remember, if it aint broke, don't fix it.
