Deleting user accounts, in particular ADMIN

I have an old laptop which I want to pass to my brother. I have deleted all the programs I installed and the other user account, but as administrator Windows won't allow me to delete myself. Is there a way around this?

Thanks, people.

You can't delete all the accounts. If you did there would be no-one who could use the system.

If you want to clean it up totally, reformat and re-install Windows.

Create another administrator account with your brother's name. Log on to that account and delete yours.

Thanks, rdave13. That seems the way to go. I will just make a final check that there is no trace of me and make my brother the new administrator and delete myself.

Many thanks

If you need to change the owner's registered name then download and save Magical Jelly Bean software version 1.51 zip. Unzip and run the .exe file. (sometimes your security program might complain). Click on the options tab and click on "change windows reg info". Change the name under 'owner'.
