Hello helproom..... I heard a while back in a comp mag that you could delete all your temp files by searching for them... I think it said type in *temp (or something) is this correct?

A simpler way is to run DiskCleanup - this will allow you to delete all the contents of the Temp folder (which may include other files not called temp). It will also allow you to delete all your Temporary Internet files, which you should also do from time to time.

It's safe to delete all the contents as long as you have no application programs running at the time (eg Word - which uses the temp directory at times)

DiskCleanup is a standard Windows program found in the programs list under Accessories - System Tools

It's even easier to do it from the IE Tools>Options>General tab, as well as enable Empty Temporary Internet Files When Browser is Closed from the Advanced tab.
