Deleting sensitive info on company laptop

Can someone please advise me?
I have a company laptop which I have been able to use for private use also. It now needs to be reimaged to reinstall software and add some new stuff so I have to give it back and pick it up the following day.
I have passwords stored in Firefox browser so I want to make sure EVERYTHING is deleted.
I have not tried to reformat the drives but I have read that reformatting will not permanently erase everything.
What is my best course of action please?
