deleting Outlook Express

How do I get rid of Outlook Express from my computer please?

My computer is installed with Microsoft Windows XP 2002 Home Edition. Service pack 2.

The reason I would like to remove it is because when I require information on websites I click on send email and it's always Outlook Express that pops up and I would like it to be the emailer I use at the moment.

Why not set the mailer you use to be the default which would prevent OE from starting?

As beeuuem says: Make it your default mail Service. However, if it is a Web based Mail service you may have to put up with OE.

I do not think that you can, simply, delete OE as it is integrated into Windows, but it is quite simple to change your Default e-mail Client.

If you really want to remove OE click here

NB If you remove Outlook Express and you do not install Outlook Express again, Microsoft Outlook will not work correctly.
