Deleting history and predictive browser setting?

Using aol and IE

Is there anyway I can automatically delete my browser history settings and stop it trying to predict what website I'm going onto when typing it in the address bar?

Is there any software program that can manage this?

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

CCleaner will delete the history you have, but it will simply build up again.

To clear the address bar in Internet Explorer:

Click Tools
Click Internet Options
Select the General tab
Under History, click the Clear History button.

This will remove all sites from the address bar. To prevent sites from being kept in the address bar, change the Days to keep pages in history to 0, (zero).

The website prediction uses AutoComplete, to turn it off goto Internet Options, on the Contents Tab click on the Settings button in the AutoComplete section, untick the boxes to disable the various functions
