Deleting Google search history

  sainty_boyo 15:44 22 Dec 04

On the google main page if you click on the search box, or type a letter it brings up every search you have currently done. My son has been on a few dodgy sites of late(he is old enough), but I also have younger children that use the computer and I don't think its the sort of thing they should see. Is there anyway to delete this search history? I have tried deleting the Google cookies, but it didn't help.

Click on small Black tiangle next to "Google" and select Clear Search History.

That will work for the Google toolbar but not on the main page.

Type an a into the search. All the "a"s are displayed with the first one highloghted. Just keep hitting the delete key.

Sadly, you will have to repeat this for every letter of the alphabet - any any numbered searches.

Happy tapping, sorry Christmas.

Didn't realise that, you can go to the History button and delete all Google pages visited, you have to delete them for each day though.

Whoops, "highlighted" and "and any numbered".
