Deleted unsaved letter. Any chance of recovery?

Using Word XP.

I wrote a letter last night, and after half an hour of sweating, gave up and deleted it. I now realise that I had a couple of well turned phrases in it, but don't seem to be able to recreate them.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no simple method of recovery.

Please someone, prove me wrong.

So it never got beyond the stage of being more than Document 1.

Had I done any form of Save, I'd have been in clover. Easy Peasy.

Janis Joplin singing Summertime on the Radio now. Not as good as Mercedes Benz but WOW what a voice!

Did you have autorecover switched on?

This will be your only hope.

If so go to Tools>Options>File Locations and see where autorecovery saves the file and go there. You may be lucky

Yoy could do a search for Document1 in case you had autoreciver turned on but I doubt if you will find anything, and if you do it may well be unusable.

Janis Joplin - that brings back memories.

That'll teach me.

Launch word>Tools menu>options>File Locations Tab, and locate the Autorecover folder, in explorer, to see if it is there(grasping at straws really)....TT
