deleted Outlook contents

Windows XP and Outlook 2000. I emptied the directories under Outlook Today (Peronal files), thought they were duplicates I did not need!
This emptied ALL my mail and contacts.
Is there any way I can retrieve the contents of these files? I of course have the pst-file of 50MB but that contains nothing despite its size.
I also have en archive-file of 9MB from 3 weeks back, that I have tried to open and import without any luck.
I have also tried using OnTrack Easy Recovery without success. I understand the pst-file is not deleted, only changed for contents.
Very grateful for advice as so much information has been lost. Thanks in advance, Jan Mark, Sweden

Lost all my Outlook emails too recently. .pst not in my backup scenario and I forgot about it before I had to reformat my hard drive.

They probably all still somewhere in my ISP files. I am with AOL.
Maybe your ISP has yours?

Setup backups/archives for future. On CD or memory stick.
