delete windows password?

Just built a PC for a pal at work and took his old pentium 100 in p/x. Its a very basic desktop running 95. Trouble is there is a password needed to log on and he can't remember what it is! I can still access the hard drive by cancelling but I'm not sure whether I get the full capacity of the hard drive by doing this. 2 questions, Do I get the full capacity and is there any way I can cancel the logon completely?

cancel logon=control panel>network>primary network logon>windows logon.... restart
