What is the quickest and easiest way of completely deleting the entire software form hard drives and starting from scratch ?
(I have the Win 98SE start up disc for the re-installment)?

insert the startup disk boot to dos prompt then type: format c:

Then when the format is finished, go into your BIOS and make your CD drive the first bootable drive. You can then install windows direct from the 98se disk. It will auto start for you even j.

mark e + Djohn,

I went to control panel, display, settings to change the screen area size from 800x600 to 1024x768 and it wouldn't let me drag the pointer up .Also I tried to change the colours from 16 to 16 'bit' and the only 2 choices were 16 colours or 2 colours , whats going on , please advise.
