defragmenter , background

Are there any good free defragmenters that I can run in the background - I have installed Fast Defrag 2 Standard (Std) free from click here
- has anyone used this and did it work well ?

-- I tried diskeeper lite -- but my setup didn't like it.
('defragmenter' used in windows , should be spelt /tor IMHO?)

Which OS do you use,if its XP its own is as good as you need.If its 98se,then get hold of DEFRAG.exe from a Windows ME cd,or d/l it from the net,as it runs faster than 98se's.

done that - but you cant run it well in the background - yes I have win98 PIII 500MHz.try Fast defrag 2 & tell me what u think..I've had it 2 days only - on auto.- I will see how defrg'd the HDD gets over a few weeks.

I wont use a third party defragger as previous install of XP slowed down after fragmentation, ran 3rd party defrag,no improvement in speed, and XP's own couldn't "see" it had been run and promptly defragged it again. :-)
