How do I make Blaze Media Pro my default media player rather than Wmp.

Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > set Program Access and Defaults. Put the dot in custom and expand it, if Blaze is listed under 'choose default media player' then put a dot next to it.

If the media player is not listed there then how do you choose the prefered one?

Use that player's file association options to "take over" whichever formats you wish to use it for. You might need to untick the corresponding options in your current default player first.

And if no such options exist in the player, they can be forcibly created by right-clicking on a file, selecting "open with..." and then selecting "Choose Program". This will bring up a list of possibles - check the tick box called "always use this program...." and select your program and then hit Okay. Ticking the box is vital to setting the file association.
