Deepnet How secure is it

I'm using Deepnet IE 1.5.3 (BETA 3)Released October 19th, 2006, I'm concerned that they've not updated it since then, is it secure?

I like the way Deepnet automatically creates a new tab for each website I visit i.e. it's useful when comparing prices across different websites. I don't seem to get the same arrangement using Firefox or IE7, any advice on how to set them both up to automatically open a new tab for each new website visited?

I don't think there's a way in IE7, though it's very quick to open a new tab then type the address, especially with the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + T).

Thanks Sebby, it's just I've been using Deepnet for so long I find it annoying that I can't get the same thing in IE7 or Firefox. I'm concerned how secure Deepnet as they've not done any upgrades for so long.
