I have a ps3 and its brilliant so I would get a console because

1, Games are guaranted to work

2, Upgrades aren't needed

3, Cheaper

4, Remote is easyier to use than mouse and keyboard in some cases.

There are pros and cons for both consoles and pc,s,

In the end its what you feel suites you.

For me i prefer a pc because there are upgrades, mods and tools so the game offers new challenges.

A good example of this is Grand theft auto San Andreas,

Once i completed the game if i was on a console that would be it but with a pc i can play the game online with friends.

Example:

But as i said consoles have advantages too, For one most modern games for the pc take up to 5GB of space on a hard drive which consoles dont need.

As you don't want to use your pc for anything other than games then a ps3 or xbox will be better value for money, short and long term.

game console if that's all you want it for.

Cheaper and much less hassle

Online gaming, downloads, etc etc are available if you subscribe to eg Xbox live

and you wish to be "Cutting Edge" you would need to budget about £400 per year, minimum, for keeping it up-to-date
