I am thinking of buying a CDRW. Does anyone recommend a reasonable priced, good performing model which is easy to install.

Cheers.

ASUS 52x24x52 CDRW retail version available from click here for only £39.95 inclusive has been the number 1 CDRW in the PC Advisor charts for the last 4 months.

I think you will find the Liteon a good choice.

I have a Ricoh which installed easily, came with Nero 5.5 and has been reliable for over a year now

I have owned Philips and Hewlett Packard CDRW drives but my current Plextot has been the most reliable for me.

Plextot should be Plextor.

I got the Lite-On 48x12x48x from Dixons for £39.99. Its model number is LTR48246S. Top drive. Very quick, and if u do a search on the net you'll find Loads of good reviews for it. And it comes with Nero.

Or you can read real peoples reviews of it here click here

Which was nice!

All the models above are very good, but I can recommend the Liteon 48x24x48 model. CCL computers have these going at the moment for £26 + VAT (about £31 ?).

As above, you get a copy of nero with it, too. Mine hasn't produced a "coaster" yet.

Duh, I forgot: find CCL here, they're British (Bradford, I think) and are reliable and quick.
