Debug error

I have just had to re-install windows Xp after a crash and all seems to be working ok except Internet Explorer. When I browse some internet pages, I get an error message "runtime error, do you wish to debug?" I haven't seen this before....also when I tried to order something from the net I received a message telling me my machine would not accept cookies and the fault was either my security setting was too high (it isn't, set to medium!) or a bug in my browser (???). Has any one any ideas please?

the fault is with the web page and debug is only useful to its designer.to turn it of click:

tools/internet options/advanced

untick 'display a notification about every script error'

tick 'disable script debugging'

restart the browser.

Thanks huggyg71, thats stopped the error coming up, although "display a notification of every script error" was already unticked.
However, I still have a problem with one site that I want to buy stuff from saying that to run properly my browser needs to accept cookies (it should!) or there's a bug in my browser. Is there a repair tool for internet explorer?
