Dead HP omnibook

I have an omnibook 6000 where someone has poured a cup of coffee over it.

I stripped the machine, cleaned & dried it and reassembled it, and of course it will not start.

The machine has 3 status lights which blink when I connect to the external power supply, but there are no BIOS beeps, the fan does not start, nothing at all.

Before I go out & buy a replacement laptop, does anybody have any ideas, tips or tricks?

Regards,
Steve.

Ok, I've tried that. Also tried removing disk, RAM, netcard, keyboard. Always the same result.

Looks like the power supply is fried but

try remove reseat cpu

reset the BIOS by removing CMOS battery for a while.
