Dead CPU's

I am just curious - there seems to be a market for CPU's that don't work. I had one recently and just took it back - however there seems to be people selling these faulty CPU's.

I just wondered what people do with faulty ones - do they wave a magic wand, play with them in the hope something else was wrong and they are OK, or do they go to the great silicon valley in the sky!

Hi John,
They usually go to the great rubbish tip in the ground called a LANDFILL site where our future generations can wonder at our intelligence.

that was my thoughts but I did wonder whether I was missing out and there was some piece of kit that everyone else used to restore these CPU's.
