I have several databases which were created some time ago using 'works 4'
On my latest computer which has winxp and office, I tried to open these files in Access and got an error message.
Is there any way these databases can be converted to run in Access? Thanks.

When you refer to works 4 I presume you are referring to Microsoft Works version 4.
I think you will find that Access will not import a MS Works Database directly.
What you would have to do is open your databases in works 4, save them as say a .dbf file, then import your dbf file into Access.

Note I think works 4 is quite an old version which may not run on an XP machine except in compatibility mode.

Thanks to both. Solved by saving into db4 and then importing to access.
