D-Link Wireless Router / Security

I have a D-Link Airplus G+ Wireless Router, model DI-624+. This is connected to an NTL set-top box. My PC is equipped with an ASUS 802.11 b/g wireless LAN card. Where can I find an "idiot's guide"(!) to explain to me how to secure my wireless connection? Do I have to have my PC connected to the router by a cable when I do so? Sorry if this sounds really obvious.

Secondly (on a different subject), I've recently been playing both "Brothers in Arms" games. When I exit them (using the "quit" option on the game menu), I usually get the "blue screen of death". Haven't been able to note down the codes though. No problems with other games. I'm worried in case it causes permanent damage, and have stopped playing them. Any ideas? Cheers!!

The easiest way to secure the D-link is probably through the profiles and select security and select a WEP code,if using a system generated code or one of your choice...write it down for future reference.
This code will have to be logged into all wireless pc's or laptops.
