D-link broadband wireless router not networking

I have a D-Link DSL-G604T using to connect wirelessly to my broadband and network two computers also wirelessly. One desktop running window 98SE and one laptop running XP. The desktop can see the laptop but I can not get the laptop to see the desktop. Both connect perfectly to the internet and see the router fine. Any suggestions.

Have you put your network into the trusted zone of your firewall?

I am using the windows firewall on my laptop and have gone through the sharing file and printer sharing exceptions. The desktop has its firewall turned off to try to get it to talk to the network.

Did you use the network wizard in XP to set up your network? You could try turning off windows firewall to see if that is stopping the laptop seeing the desktop. Also I would invest in a better firewall for your laptop.
