Can you be a little clearer please?

Is your D: drive your CD-ROM? If so, did you boot with a W98 boot floppy, and then try to access your D: drive?

If so, you are one drive out, because the W98 creates a temporary RAM drive, which then means that your CD-ROM drive becomes your E: drive.

This assumes that you have one Hard Drive and one CD-ROM.

Don't forgrt when you boot with a floppy to select with cd-rom support
