Crysis graphic settings,advice please

WINXP 2.4GHz 6600 2GB RAM BFG8800GT 512 OC

I have just installed Crysis and I'm currently playing the game with the following settings...

Screen Resolution/Video Mode 1280x 1024

Anti-Aliasing OFF

All advanced options set to high.

With these setting the game plays fine.

When Ant-Aliasing is set to 2x,the game still plays well, but I noticed some white distortions.

When set to 8x,the game slows right down.

There is an updated driver for my card,my current driver date is 2.5.2008,the new version 9.7.2008.

When the internet speeds up I will download the driver.

So finally my questions, considering the demands of Crysis, are my game settings acceptable?,will the newer driver improve the quality/settings.

Also what is the best procedure for installing the new driver, uninstall the old one first,or will the newer driver automatically delete the previous driver.

Many thanks

download and install patch for the game. 8x aa you probably need a gtx280 or 4870x2.

thanks citadel,

I have tried to locate a web site which offers the latest patches, but so far no luck.

When I installed Crysis I registered the game and created an account, but none of the EA web sites will accept my logging in details.

Can you offer any advice please
