Crucial web-site

  Nero6 11:59 26 Oct 05

The existing memory in my self-built computer was obtained from Crucial. I am proposing to increase the amount of memory but I am able to access any web-site except Crucial.
Please can anyone help me?

What happens if you click here

Crucial's site seems to be down at the moment, Nero6.

Fine here

Hello PaulB2005,

I get "The page cannot be displayed"

Any lost packets if you type `ping` at the command prompt?

  Nero6 13:46 26 Oct 05

100% loss

And what about something like
Do you have Windows XP?
Look in \WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\ - you may need to unhide files/system file in Folder Options -
if there is a file there called hosts, rename it hosts.old, then restart IE and try the site again, or reboot altogether and try again.

No loss when I ping

I have renamed the hosts file and rebooted but I still can't access Crucial

Add it to your trusted sites in IE? No point trying another browser if something as basic as `ping` gets no results. Out of ideas after that I'm afraid. Perhaps check router settings if you have one.

And try pinging the IP address itself ( Would highlight a DNS problem if it works.
