creative x-fi xtreme audio or gamer sound card

my dell 9200 computer has built in audio
i am going to change to a creative sound card
i like the xtreme gamer but is it worth
the extra money over the standard xtreme audio card
using it for games and some music

Like anything, your system will be as good as the weakest link. So, if your speakers and cabling are good quality then it wll be worth the extra cash. If not, then it's unlikely you'll see (or hear!) a significant increase in audio quality.

i have a 5.1 setup creative inspire t5400
from a sigma onboard sound
the sound is ok but my old computer i had more control and could test the speakers system
