Creating a folder in the root directory

  Daisy22 10:53 24 May 06

I have bought a game which I am trying to install and the instructions tell me to....:

"In Windows Explorer create a folder in the root directory of your hard drive, i.e. c:\"

I've tried right clicking on my computer but can't seem to find windows explorer, do I have to go into the hidden system files first?

Please could someone tell me how to do the above with easy step by step instructions.

Double-click My Computer.

Double click C:

Right click, New > Folder

Did VoG's advice work OK for you?

For the future, go to search and look for explorer.exe, when it appears, right click on it and choose send to Desktop (create shortcut), this will give you a shortcut to Windows Explorer. You may have to search in hidden files or folders, to find out about this click on your desktop and press F1 key then type in 'search for files and folders' in the search box.
