I'm wanting to make a DVD-R to put all my Videos (AVI and Mpeg) onto a disk so that I can play them on a DVD Player, I used CDXP Burn Pro and when I made the disk the Disk and put it in my DVD Player "Unknown Disk"

I'm using Nero here now Do I make a DVD Disk For Video Files??

Thanks as always

what file formats does your standalone player play?
You may need to convert the files.

it says on my manual here that my TV can play all Media Disks.

its the dvd manual you need to look at..
look for file formats ie mpeg not media discs ie dvd-r dvd+r,its normally the compression of the file that affects the playback or not recognising it at all.

Ah right,

Some I have downloaded from youtube and others where done with my Cam Recorder and I currently have compressed them.

my player will only play certain formats and if i use dvd shrink to compress them too much it wont play, even if i use a compatable format.
have a look at

sorry havent got any experience with home vids and youtube files.

Try dvd Flick as Raven posted it will make them proper dvd's. Possibility if you are mixing formats for the one disc that may foul it up. Yoiu tube are FLV are you coverting them to avi first
