Crashes with msg IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I just have got my new pc its Dell Dimension 8250 but it tends to crash a fair deal, there also msgs like Physical Memory Dump and a hell of a lot of 0's could anyone help me out, im running XP home and the pcs specs appear quite powerful i jus hate it crashing!

It could be a memory or device driver problem.
Have you checked Windows update to make sure all your drivers are up to date.

IRQ are interupt requests. The IRQ is a number set in the computer for the interrupt request. The interrupt request is assigned to devices to allow it to "interrupt", or send a signal, to the computer when it is finished processing. In older computers, you had to manually set the IRQ values for devices. Newer computers and operating systems use plug'n'play, which allows you to not need to set IRQ values.
