Crash when gaming

Hello,

I have a problem were my computer crashes everytime I play the sims 3 or 4 games. Sometimes it can play for 4-8 hours before a crash and other times 10mins.

It generally crashes to a black screen and the system is still running but there is not access to anything on screen therefore meaning we need to perform a hard reset on this.

We thought it was overheating and the PSU was turning itself so altered the threshold to a safe level in bios but it still crashes.

Other times the crash may say something like "DVI-D 2" and other times it has crashed to a yellow, red and green screen.

We've been having issues for about 4 months on it and still cannot get to the bottom of it.

There is nothing in the error logs or in the game crash logs?

Would anyone be able to help please? Getting fed up with the constant crashing no matter what we try :-(

Thank you.

Hazel
